A miscellany of weekly ramblings on comics, art and film by Ted Mathot, storyboard artist and writer/artist/self-publisher of graphic novels and comics
Beautiful. This is the most stunning of all the covers. I have the same question as disneynorth. What time period of Rose's life would it cover? Oh, maybe I don't want to know...:)
I bought both Part 1 and 2 of Cora at SDCC and I LOVE your storytelling. The art has grown even better (and it was already incredible in Rose and Isabel) and the pacing and build up allows us to get to better know and feel for Cora's melancholy and aspirations. I felt like I was there with her at each step of her journey and you know just how to elicit intense emotion with your drawings (for example, I was as shocked and horrified when I saw what those bandits did to her horse, yet you did it without needless blood and gore--you left it up to the imagination and it was enough to make my heart jump and then feel both saddened and angered!)
Thank you for the lovely sketch and I can't wait for Cora 3.
I really love the artwork you have.I am working my way into the animation buisness. I was wondering if you can check out my blog when you have a chance and comment on my work.
cant wait to see what happens next! I bought the other two editions at the San Diego COmmicon, loooved them! Excited to see what happens next! Awesome Story

putain c'est classe!!
Love the cover! And the idea. So, would the story revolve around pre-Rose & Isabel #1 or where she has been since Rose & Isabel #2? Can't wait!

Thanks! My plans (at the moment) are for the book to cover Rose's life up to her decision to leave home to find her brothers (R&I part 1).
Where she's been since the end of R&I 2 will be covered in future issues of CORA.
Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous..
