Cora update: March 31

Update for this week: Trying to find energy and time to work outside of the daily schedule at the studio has been difficult and taxing. I'm trying to mix it up by working a morning one day and an evening the next, then a lunchtime, a Saturday one week and a Sunday the next, etc, etc...anything that will keep me from burnout. The weather has been especially nice too, so that doesn't help.

Anyhow, the book is coming along well & I shouldn't have too many problems making the deadline. I have a bunch of ideas for new, more exciting posts about film and storyboarding and I look forward to posting those as soon as the book is done. But onward for now -- 33 pages to go.

This is a very inventive & bold panel. Everything is spot-on -- composition, color, tone.

The hard work & nice day sacrifices pay off when they yield results like this. Keep up your non-burn-out plan! We're with you!

Ted,

In the words of Rob Schneider, "You can do it!!!!"

This panel reminds of a Toshiro Mifune moment where he comes out of his outer shell and exposes his true feelings. I agree with Moth. Spot on.

BTW, for the panel from previous post, you get the feeling that the house is alive because all the bright lights are on. Since it is 19th Century where gas lamps were used, perhaps, it can be a more subdued yellow. In this way, it will draw away from the house.

You're a machine Ted. A gold producing machine.

Your work always delivers that cinematic, elevated quality that so many comics lack. Thanks for producing it.

33 pgs? you'll be done in two weeks man. just kidding. Its all about discipline at this point. just stay on target. Can't wait to see the finished product. I may even start up another graphic novel.
